As a Clinical Social Worker and Certified Holistic Mental Health Counselor, I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD, and emotion regulation challenges in children and teens ages 8 and up. My approach is grounded in compassion, evidence-based treatment, and a deep understanding that a child’s emotional wellbeing is influenced by more than just their thoughts or behaviors.

Over the years, I’ve learned that real, lasting progress happens when we look at the whole child—their nervous system, sleep, sensory needs, routines, relationships, and the stressors in their environment. Mental health doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s shaped by the body, the brain, and the world a child lives in every day. My holistic training allows me to integrate these pieces in a way that supports children more completely and effectively.

In therapy, I use research-backed modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), parent-based treatments like SPACE, and practical skills-based interventions. With the holistic lens, I weave in an understanding of how factors like sleep quality, breathing patterns, movement needs and overstimulation may be contributing to your child’s symptoms. This gives us a clearer picture of why patterns are happening and what will help.

Therapy for Children and Adolscents

Families often seek me out because their child is anxious, overwhelmed, perfectionistic, shut down, emotionally reactive, or struggling with intrusive thoughts. Many have tried traditional therapy before and felt stuck. My goal is to create a calm, supportive space where we slow things down, understand the whole story, and build a path forward that feels doable for both the child and the family.

I partner closely with parents—because you are a vital part of your child’s progress. Together, we explore routines, family rhythms, school stress, sensory load, emotional triggers, and strengths. When helpful, I collaborate with outside providers such as pediatricians, occupational therapists, airway dentists, sleep specialists, and school teams to ensure the full picture is addressed.

Whether we’re reducing anxiety, building emotional resilience, supporting OCD recovery, or helping a child reconnect with confidence, my approach is gentle, intentional, and tailored to each family. I believe children heal best when they feel understood, supported, and equipped—not pressured or rushed.

Outside of the therapy room, I love creating resources for families, connecting with the community, and continuing my education in holistic and integrative mental health. My mission is to provide care that honors the complexity of children’s needs while making the process feel manageable and hopeful for parents.

Here’s how I can help:

Social Anxiety: I help kids and teens feel more comfortable in social situations by teaching them practical skills to handle their fear and build confidence with friends, classmates, and adults.

Separation Anxiety: If your child feels anxious when separating from you and you feel that your child has not been able to pass this developmental milestone, We will work together to help them gradually feel more at ease and develop the confidence to be away from you without the distress.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Using research-backed methods like Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I guide kids and teens in breaking free from the cycle of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.

Generalized Anxiety: If your child is always worrying, I teach them ways to calm their minds and handle those overwhelming feelings, so they can focus on what matters without the constant stress.

Selective Mutism: For kids who struggle to speak in certain situations, I offer a gentle, step-by-step approach to help them feel comfortable speaking up in different settings.

Specific Phobias: Whether your child has a fear of heights, animals, or anything else, I help them face those fears with proven techniques that help them feel more in control and less anxious.

Thank you for being here. I’m honored to be part of your child’s journey.
